ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS:
- Co-portfolio manager of an $800M+ (notional) proprietary internal fund of hedge funds investment portfolio for senior partners at Tudor Investments. Performance under my leadership from late 2002-mid 2005 was consistently in the mid to low teens for notional performance coupled with YoY returns of roughly 30% on cash (mean leverage = 1.83x)
- Co-Managed a venture capital focused start-up for Tudor Investments, of a high-potential, foreign information technology and telecommunications infrastructure business in Japan.
- Managed family office client’s $50M allocation to hedge funds.
- Worked closely with broker to win $50M university endowment alternative investment contract.
- For Columbia, served as an Advisor to the Founder, Program on Alternative Investments in the Center of Japanese Economy & Business where I helped execute a major pension related research study involving differences in alternative investment between the U.S. and Japan.
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND ADVISORY SERVICES:
- Worked with the founder/CEO to transform a niche industrial design company into a global innovation consulting services firm that can partner with private equity and turnaround management firms as well as traditional consumer product and manufacturing clients.
- Co-led start-up with the founder of the LEED green building rating system – leading the financial and market strategy to build FP&A depth as well as generate marketable business plan and investment memorandum for reaching seed investors.
- Worked with the Executive Director of a multi-service social services organization to improve operations and programming, including, but not limited to: Grants (Proposal Writing and Contract Administration), Programs, IT, HR/Trainings, Finance, Development, and Strategic Planning.
- Directed Financial Services at a social services organization, working with auditor and the Finance Committee on financial resstructuing for fiscal/organizational efficiency.
- Consulted in the formation of a public/private academic center at Yale applying strategic, technical and administrative support during a the planning stages and ongoing functioning of the center and project deliverables of the Yale Group on Workforce Development in coordination with the State of Connecticut.
